Payment, Fees & Refunds

A 50% deposit is required before the project starts, and the final 50% and any extra fees are due within 20 days once the project is finished. Invoices are usually sent by e-mail, unless another billing method is requested by you and agreed upon by both parties. Any work performed outside of an active paid contract period will be billed at an hourly rate. 

If payment is past due date a reminder will be sent out, an $8 late charge will apply and an interest of 8% according to the Swedish Interest Act. Graphiclagoon reserves the right to remove any web services if payments are not made. If web services are suspended a $150 reactivation fee will be applied to any outstanding balance before services are restored. In case collection proves necessary, the client agrees to pay all fees, including all attorneys fees and court costs, caused by that process.

Any work or service that is performed under an agreement is non-refundable. Payments made to sub-contractors for programming requested by the client is non-refundable.

Copyright and ownership

The client must provide all text and content used on the website, unless the client has hired Graphiclagoon for content creation. It is up to each client to ensure that the design and content provided does not interfere with any trademark, service mark or copyright. Graphiclagoon can not be responsible for property infringements on behalf of clients. 

Project start

The start of a project requires a payment of 50% of the project fee. A Web design project can not start without Graphiclagoon receiving the client logotype, images, copy, fonts and branding colors sent by email to hello@graphiclagoon.com. Copy/text must be sent as text rather than flattened images. Both text and photos must be clearly labeled with the name of the page on which it will be displayed. 

The client will be notified if Graphiclagoon is waiting for content or other pieces of information. The website may be delayed if the client fails to handle the requests in a timely manner. Copy writing and branding services are available at an surcharge if the client needs assistance with content creation. 

Graphiclagoon will complete as much of the project as possible without the missing elements if the client-driven delays continue. If more than 2 months from the website design and build has passed, and the client still has not submitted the remaining missing content, Graphiclagoon reserves the right to consider the project complete and bill for the whole project.

Revisions of a website

We truly love creating attractive design and the majority of our clients are very pleased with our services. Design is however a subjective art, and not every opinion are the same. All the design preferences, such as color scheme, the look of a website etc. should be specified in the beginning. If any design preference stated in the web design signup form was not met, the adjustments will be made free of charge. If the client develops preferences or changes his or her mind after the completion of the work, adjustments will be made at an hourly rate. 

Quality guarantee

We truly love making our clients happy, and while we make an effort to ensure that every aspect of our service is to the client’s liking, we can not control every variable. It is up to each client to regularly test the functionality of his or her website to ensure everything works as desired. If any problem is discovered please report the problem to us immediately so we may take appropriate action. We can not be responsible for perceived loss of revenue under any circumstances. Content changes resulting from a client’s error and problems related to third party vendors may result in additional charges.

Termination of service

The client will be responsible for the amount of work already completed if the client changes his or her mind during the course of the initial web design phase. Depending on the amount of work completed at the time of cancellation, this may mean receiving a full refund, a partial refund, no refund, or owing additional fees. In order to protect clients from unintentional service interruption, clients wishing to terminate any services must request the service termination in writing.

Third party vendors

Third party vendors may have separate terms of service agreements. Graphiclagoon can not be held liable for disputes with third party vendors. Graphiclagoon can not be held responsible for lack of functionality or any other aspect of third party services.

Changes to terms of service

Graphiclagoon reserves the right to change the terms of service at any time for any reason.
